Kittie Mary Woolliscroft, age 71, of LaGrange, GA passed away on July 27, 202 at the Florence Hand Home in LaGrange. Kittie was born on September 28, 1948 in Alexandria, Minnesota to the late Winfred Lewis Woolliscroft and Kathryn Dawn Ripley Woolliscroft.

She is survived by her loving partner Jack Ancell, her brother Tom Woolliscroft, and her sister’s Ava Marie Betz and Veronica Taylor.

Kittie is a recipient of Joslin Diabetes Centers 50-year Medalist Award for living her life to the fullest with Type 1 diabetes for 50+ years. Kittie was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at the age of 2-years-old, and for many summers, attended Camp Needlepoint, a summer camp for diabetic children. Kittie grew up to have successful careers at Northwest Airlines in Minnesota and TECO Energy in Tampa, Florida.

Kittie retired to LaGrange, GA and was active at her church, St. Peters Catholic Church, was a founding member of the LaGrange Mardi Gras Parade, and was a volunteer host parent for two foreign exchange students from the Nacel foreign exchange program.

She will be dearly missed, it was a great pleasure and honor to be one of her CNAs. She always had a smile on her face when I walked in the room. That smile could light up a room. Thinking of her family during this time.
