Obituary

James Buddy Williams, age 81, of LaGrange, passed away on October 2, 2020. He was born on May 11, 1939 to the late Venus Roger “Bill” Williams and Nora Irene Swan Williams in Randolph County, Alabama. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Joanne King Williams; brother, Robert “Bobby” Williams.

Survivors include his daughter, Deborah “Debbie” Hinkle (Donnie); brother, Timothy Williams (Susan); sister in law, Elvira Williams; grandchildren, Timmy Monteith (Julie); Patricia Kelly (Jim); great grandchildren, Kayla Monteith, Grace Kelly, Bryson Monteith, Isabell Kelly; Ty Monteith; nieces and nephews, Roger Williams (Brandie), Steve Williams, Brandy Noles (Billy), Mindy Haynes; Tammy Reeves (Tim); special friend, Barbara Hudson; extended family and friends.

Family will have a graveside service starting at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at the Meadoway Gardens. Family will receive friends at the graveside from 10:00 – 11:00 AM.

He was my buddy, my friend for the past eight years. He has been there for me and I will miss him terribly. There will never be another Buddy. He was one of a kind, always sharing hi own way of lifting up those around him.
