Mr. James Burnham, of LaGrange, passed away on August 5, 2020 at Florence Hand Home. He was born in LaGrange, Ga to the late Mr. L. J. Burnham and Mrs. Emma Burnham. In addition to his parents, Mr. Burnham is preceded in death by his wife, Cindy Burnham and his son, Cam Burnham. Mr. Burnham will be remembered for his love of the Lord and you would usually find him reading his bible. He was very kind to people he was around and liked to joke around. He will most likely be remembered by many for his love of Alabama football.

Mr. Burnham is survived by his daughter, Jamie Paul (Nate); sisters, Jayne Belote (Buddy), Jerri Grantham, and Jo Tyler; grandchild, Lily Paul; extended family and friends.

Due to the national health crisis we are currently facing, a private graveside service will be held at Shadowlawn Cemetery in LaGrange, Georgia on Friday, August 7, 2020. Please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers as they make their way through this challenging time.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this time. I met Mr. Jimmy when my husband was first admitted to Florence Hand Home. He immediately took my husband under his wings and they became the best of friends, He was a very caring and loving person and meant so much to my family as we got to know him. A simple thank you will not suffice for all he did. There is no doubt in my mind but that they are now sharing a lot of those memories in heaven. May God bless you. Fay Pearce

Our love and prayers are with you Jamie. So sorry we can’t be there but know our love is with you. So many wonderful memories when we were kid’s growing up. Uncle Jimmy, Aunt Cindy and Cam are together again and rejoicing that reunion. I will say this for Jimmy that I wouldn’t normally say. Roll Tide!
