Dorothy I. "Dot" Lott
Dorothy I. "Dot" Lott, 90, of Carrollton, Ga formerly of LaGrange passed away Monday evening at her home. Dorothy was born June 26, 1928 in LaGrange, the daughter of Henry McDaniel and Mary Lou Dicey McRae McDaniel.
She was a retired seamstress with Playtex International and loved sewing. She turned her love for sewing into crafting and quilting after retirement. Her hands created many gorgeous quilts, several of which were recognized on the state, national and international levels.
"Dot" was a member of Dunson Baptist Church where she and her husband served in many capacities over the years they attended. She also attended Troup County Senior Active Life Center where you could find her in the "craft" room.
She loved travel, friends, helping others, and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life and husband of 65 years, Claude Lott, Jr. Upon his death Dot relocated to Carrollton to be near her family and enjoyed attending Tabernacle Baptist Church.
Survivors include son and daughter in law, Randy and Kathy Lott, Carrollton, GA
Granddaughters, Ami and Jeff Mayo of Atlanta, Ga and Andrea Whiten of Villa Rica, GA
Great-Grandchildren, J.R. and John Mayo, Atlanta, GA, Jackson Whiten, Villa Rica, GA
Sister, Mrs. Grace Bowen, LaGrange, GA
Several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 pm, Friday June 7 in the chapel of Hunter Allen Myhand Funeral Home with visitation preceding from 1:30-3:00 pm, .Entombment will follow in Shadowlawn Mausoleum.

Aunt Dot your infectious smile and laughter will truly be missed by many. I’m sure when you get to you’re eternal home, you will be greeted with open arms by your soul mate (Uncle Claud ), sisters and ‘ ‘brother ‘ as you always lovingly called my dad.
