Obituary

Charles Jackson “Dooney” Willingham, Jr., age 66 of LaGrange, Georgia passed away at his home on May 11, 2020. He was a Vietnam era Veteran and served four years in the United States Marines. After his military service, he worked for 26 years at Dunson Mills. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, the outdoors, and talking about memories. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles (Jack) and Martha Willingham, Sr. and one brother, Michael Willingham.

Survivors include his son, Caleb Willingham; daughter, Amy Welch (John); granddaughter, Avi Welch; sisters, Tonya Brisky (Randy) and Vicki Brawner (Johnny); nieces, nephews and several dear and close friends. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Homeless Veterans Association. Due to COVID19 restrictions, a family graveside service will be held on Friday, May 15, 2020 at the Restlawn Memory Gardens.

Blessings to the family of Charles Willingham. Many years ago I worked with Charles and his brother Michael at Dunson. Over the years we would bump into each other around town and catch up with one another. I vividly remember our last conversation. Rest on Charles Willingham. Your faith has made you whole.
